Pastoral Training

objective

“…For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do, (Ephesians 2:10).”

To restore hope, faith and love in the hearts of believers and non-believers in the communities we serve.

It’s worthy of note that the majority of ministering that takes place within Christian communities can be described as pastoral ministry. Therefore, it’s very important professionally, that pastors are trained properly before they engage in this type of ministry in other to safeguard from theological errors or false teachings of the Bible. New Life Missions pastoral training helps to bridge these gaps by helping local indigenous pastor gain sound Theological knowledge.

Extended Program:

This additional program allows for pastors to be trained to provide advice and support to congregants undergoing stressful or life-changing situations such as: illness, grief, marriage, divorce, or separation, loss of job, and retirement.

Our approach

“Go home to your friends and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you” (Mark 5:19-20).

The NLM pastoral training program is a holistic training program which in addition to training pastors for the ministry, also teaches them practical Christ-like life. This is a life lived with compassion and empathy for others.

From a scriptural point of view, it was stated that Christ “moved with compassion when he saw people” (Matt. 9:36; 14:14; 20:34; Mark 1:41; Luke 7:13) this was in response to the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of others. In a number of confrontations with the religious leaders of His day, Christ is criticized for reaching out to those who were considered the “undesirable” people of His day (Matt. 8:1-3; 9:10-11; Mark 2:16-17; 5:30-32). A Christ-like life is a life that is lived with indiscriminate love and compassion for others.
