mission overview

New Life Missions Incorporated was established in 1979 as a Village Mission Network (VMN), to train individuals to reach their own people in the village for Christ. Through this concept, God is raising a mighty army across the continent of Africa and beyond (Mark 5: 19-20).

Our desire is to establish and equip the body of believers so that they will become mature Christians in faith and in practice, mentally, spiritually, and physically within the community where they live (Matt. 28: 19-20 & 2Tim. 3:16-17).

We are a non-denominational mission organization. As a Christian community, it is our desire to promote harmonious, cross-cultural fellowship among various Christian expressions. Therefore, we build relationships among rural ministries, churches, pastors, community leaders, and other professionals. They collaborate with us in training, community outreaches, and church establishment in remote areas of Nigeria and beyond (Titus 3:5-14; Heb. 13: 1-3; 1Cor. 1:10 and 2:7-16).

As a missionary organization, we believe that the purpose of the Church is to evangelize, train, and develop Christians with Christ-like character. Therefore, we highly emphasize inductive bible studies, Christian fellowship, prayers, breaking of bread, water baptism, worship, and house visitations. Since cultural influence and traditions have eroded the church, as a mission, we teach and encourage the body of Christ to be shining examples in those dark cultures. This is because when we light up the darkness with the light of Christ, we reveal the Lord to those outside the church (Acts 2:42-47; 2Cor. 6:14-18).

We believe that the true bass of Christian stewardship is accountability; therefore, as a native missionary agency, we work with Nigerian Native Indigenous-Mission Alliance (NITMA). They help to oversee our mission policies, board members, and maintain records. They provide oversight to our local pastors and other independent missionaries working in hostile areas of Nigeria (Titus 1:5 & 3:1-3; 1Cor. 14:40).

We believe that “if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them,” (Isa. 8:20 NLM)
